Stuart is a Hearing Aid Audiologist at The Hearing Care Partnership, having taken a slightly unconventional but rewarding route into audiology. He originally studied journalism at the University of Lincoln before beginning his career in healthcare as an optical assistant with a high street provider. In 2018, he made the decision to retrain in audiology, driven by a desire to work more closely with patients and make a meaningful difference to their lives.
Now in his current role, Stuart particularly enjoys carrying out comprehensive hearing assessments, including speech testing and tympanometry. He values the opportunity to take the time needed to fully understand each patient’s needs and deliver care that feels thorough, personal, and reassuring.
Stuart chose to join The Hearing Care Partnership because of its strong focus on patient-centred care and the ability to spend longer with each individual. This approach closely aligns with his own values and commitment to providing high-quality hearing care.
Outside of work, Stuart is a keen sports fan and an enthusiastic supporter of Newcastle United. He also enjoys PC gaming, keeping up with the latest technology, and spending quality time with his partner and young son, embracing the joys of family life.
