Nicola Timoney

Audiologist

Nicola is an Audiologist with extensive experience in hearing healthcare, holding an MSc in Audiology and being a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. After initially completing a Master's degree in Chemistry, she discovered a passion for audiology and went on to earn her MSc in Audiology from the University of Southampton's Institute of Sound and Vibration Research in 2008.

She began her career working within the NHS, gaining valuable experience across a range of hearing and balance clinics over six years. Nicola then spent a further five years as a Cochlear Implant Audiologist with the University of Southampton's Auditory Implant Service, helping patients navigate their hearing journey through specialist care. She has also qualified as a Clinical Scientist in Audiology and is experienced in both microsuction and irrigation ear wax removal.

Nicola chose to join The Hearing Care Partnership because of its commitment to thorough clinical assessments and personalised patient care. She is passionate about helping people better understand and manage their hearing health, and enjoys working closely with optical colleagues to support patients' overall wellbeing.

Outside of work, Nicola enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and keeping active through Pilates and hiking.
