Ben, a Hearing Aid Audiologist with a background in BSc Music Technology and MSc Audio Engineering, discovered his passion for Audiology during his Master's degree. Drawn to the technical and scientific aspects combined with the human connection, Ben has been qualified for almost three years.
Beginning his career in domiciliary roles in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, Ben later managed a clinic in Hull before moving to Scotland for further domiciliary work. He appreciates the diversity of patients he encounters, emphasising the importance of listening, adapting, and building rapport to deliver trustworthy advice and recommendations.
Ben chose to join The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP) for its patient-centred approach, which allows him time to truly understand each individual he assists. He was excited by the opportunity to develop clinical skills like REMs and tympanometry at THCP, enhancing patient outcomes. The collaborative environment at THCP also attracted Ben, giving him the chance to work with a team towards a shared goal.
In his free time, Ben enjoys running, reading, and watching films, and he takes advantage of Scotland's outdoor beauty with his partner through hiking and exploration.
