The Hearing Care Partnership are pleased to announce the opening of our Dronfield clinic, in partnership with Thomas & Holloway Opticians, where we will be providing a selection of hearing care services.
Thomas & Holloway Opticians was first established in 2002, and they now have two optical practices based in the outskirts of Sheffield, with hearing currently only available in the Dronfield practice. The business is run by Mark Holloway, the son of the previous director Barry Holloway, and he continues to uphold his father’s values of providing best-in-class vision solutions for his patients.
To deliver on this promise, Thomas & Holloway have always invested in the very latest clinical technology, including OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) to provide the most detailed possible eye examination. They also offer glasses from the world’s best designers and manufacturers that are created with you in mind, as well as offering exclusive benefits in their Thomas & Holloway People loyalty scheme.
The Hearing Care Partnership’s audiologist, Aqsa Yousaf, will be working together with the team at Thomas & Holloway Opticians to offer a multitude of services including:
- FREE hearing assessments
- Hearing aids
- Ear wax removal
- Tinnitus consultations
- Hearing protection
Aqsa obtained her BSc Audiology degree from London. She was ranked top 3 within her cohort and produced an outstanding dissertation that led her on to graduating with a First Class Honours. She comes from a strong NHS background and has worked in many NHS departments across the UK, including a Senior Audiologist position in her very first year of working.
“From a newborn baby being comforted by its mother’s voice, to a 100 year old being able to hear the laughter of his great grandchildren, it is certain that the sense of hearing is a great gift to human life. Therefore, I could not think of a more fulfilling role at The Hearing Care Partnership, where I am able to use the world’s best hearing technology and equipment to perform miracles on my patients who are hearing impaired. I believe the expertise, resources, time and technology available at THCP is simply incomparable to any other.”
Outside of work, Aqsa loves to cook and try different cuisines. She is a foodie – so do not be surprised if you spot cupcakes in the corner of her audiology room! In her spare time, you’ll find her catching up on a Netflix series or knitting with her best friend, who she also calls Grandma.
