The Hearing Care Partnership (THCP) is pleased to announce that we are now working with Squire Opticians in Shepperton to provide a complete hearing care service to the local community. THCP’s expert audiologist will be working within the practice to provide:

  • Free hearing tests
  • Ear wax removal
  • The latest digital hearing aids
  • Tinnitus consultations
  • Hearing protection services#

Squire Opticians was taken on in 2018 by optometrist Harbinder Bola, after the previous owner and founder, Ian Squire, sadly died in 2017 while carrying out charity work in Nigeria. In honour of the memory of Mr. Squire and the work he did, the practice name was retained.

Harbinder Bola is an experienced optometrist who has been working in practice since 1999. Since taking on Squire Opticians, he has retained the same expert team to ensure all patients receive high quality eye care and consistently great customer service.

Squire Opticians use the latest clinical technology, including OCT, to help identify potential eye problems and deliver the most comprehensive eye examination possible. They also offer more specialist services, such as colorimetry testing for children and young adults with dyslexia or visual stress, which can help make reading more comfortable using coloured overlays or lenses.

The expert dispensing opticians at the practice specialise in varifocal lenses, but can dispense all types of prescription glasses and offer a wide range of designer frames. The Squire team also provide on-site glazing for an efficient, personalized service.

THCP’s fully qualified audiologist, Fiona Crawford, will be delivering hearing services at the Shepperton practice from February 2020. Fiona holds a Masters in Audiology, and is also a qualified Clinical Scientist. She spent many years working as an audiologist in the NHS, before moving into the private sector:

“I strongly believe in providing the highest level of person-centred care. I find that the best way to achieve this is by educating my patients to help them make informed decisions, and provide the best possible solutions to suit their needs and lifestyle. I am thrilled to be able to dedicate my time to my patients, and give them access to all the latest technology and diagnostic tools.”
