My first hearing test
This was my first time having a hearing test, having experienced a sudden reduction of hearing in one ear and associated increase of tinnitus. I had seen my GP, but the prescribed meds did nothing and I felt I needed a professional assessment.

Very fiddly and don't work
I bought in-ear rechargable aids after the consultation. These hearing aids are extremely fiddly and high maintenance. They frequently get blocked by ear wax and often fall out. They don't help with my hearing either, amplifying unwanted noise in a way which is very unpleasant. The NHS ones are much better.
