Emily Proud

Wax Clinician

Emily joined The Hearing Care Partnership as a Wax Clinician after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Speech and Language Therapy. During her studies, she was proud to receive the Tracey E Cox Memorial Prize for achieving the highest clinical grade in her year.

She was drawn to wax removal for its practical, hands-on nature and the opportunity to make a real difference to a patient’s wellbeing in just one appointment. Emily also chose The Hearing Care Partnership for its strong reputation and supportive, people-focused approach to care.

What she enjoys most is helping patients leave an appointment feeling more comfortable and able to hear clearly, as well as building meaningful relationships with both patients and colleagues.

Outside of work, Emily keeps active with regular gym sessions, running, and yoga, and loves walking her Labrador, Charlie, along the beach or in local parks. She has completed the Great North 10k and the Remembrance Sunday 5k, and hopes to run a half-marathon in the future. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, going out for meals, and visiting the theatre.
