TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The terms of manufacturers, warranty, guarantee and service has been detailed below and if the need arises, Clarendon House will be pleased to offer any required support.
HEARING AID FITTING
- In return for your payment of an initial fee The Hearing Care Partnership will place an order with the manufacturer for your selected hearing aid(s) and arrange an appointment with yourself for the fitting of your hearing aid(s)
- Within the 60 day period after receiving your hearing aid(s) The Hearing Care Partnership will arrange a personal consultation to assess progress and to ensure you are getting the most out of your hearing aids.
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
- If you are dissatisfied with your hearing aid, The Hearing Care Partnership will take all reasonable steps to resolve any problems that you may have. In the unlikely event that you are completely dissatisfied with your hearing aid(s) we will refund the price of the hearing aid(s) in full or exchange them for an alternative model within 60 days of the original fitting.
AFTERCARE
- All models of hearing aid will require regular maintenance at home in order to prevent wear and tear, maintain optimal performance and for hygiene reasons. Examples include maintaining a daily cleaning routine and regular replacement of the wax filters and rubber domes.
- Aftercare appointments are included at no extra charge, for as long as you are wearing your hearing aid(s).
- Wax removal is included at no extra charge for the duration of the hearing aid warranty (3-5 years).
HEARING AID SUPPLIES
- The Hearing Care Partnership will provide free batteries, domes and filters for the full length of the hearing aid warranty (3-5 years).
- The Hearing Care Partnership should be contacted if the hearing aid(s) require service or repair.
INSURANCE
- The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover loss of the aid(s). The Hearing Care Partnership advises all clients to contact their household insurers to cover their hearing aid(s) against loss.
- In the event that the hearing aid(s) are lost, please contact The Hearing Care Partnership in the first instance, who will be able to provide a letter for your insurance company, and support you in the replacement of the aid(s).
WARRANTY
- The hearing aid(s) described above are guaranteed against aid failure that may be due to defective parts, workmanship or mechanical malfunction for a period of 3-5 years from the date of purchase. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, accidents or attempted repairs other than those authorised by the hearing aid manufacturer in writing.
- The Hearing Care Partnership, in accordance with the Health & Care Professions Council’s guidelines, will assign to you the full benefit of the hearing aid(s) guarantee as given to The Hearing Care Partnership. This means that you can benefit from the manufacturer’s guarantee in relation to the hearing aid(s). If the above mentioned hearing aid(s) requires repair or service by the manufacturer, then The Hearing Care Partnership undertakes to provide you with all reasonable assistance in taking advantage of the manufacturer’s guarantee.
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION
- All hearing aid dispensers are required to be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and a copy of the Council’s Code of Practice may be seen on request. The Council’s duties include ensuring adequate standards in dispensers’ conduct and competence. COMPLAINTS
- In the unlikely event that we are unable to resolve a complaint or problem at branch level, the matter will be referred to the Director of Professional Services, Leightons Ltd, Clarendon House, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7PN for their immediate attention.
- Nothing in this document restricts your rights. If you need more advice regarding your statutory rights, we suggest that you contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Department.
Please contact Clarendon House in the first instance if you require further assistance or clarification on any of the points detailed above.
