Our newest partnership with Wyman Opticians allows The Hearing Care Partnership to provide full hearing services from within Wyman’s Pontypool practice. Opening as of today (Tuesday 11th December 2018) they now offer free hearing tests, hearing aids, ear wax removal and hearing protection services.
Wyman Opticians has been operating for over 60 years, first opened back in 1947 by Michael Wyman himself. The practice prides itself on the fact it’s an independent family-run business, providing expert and detailed patient care. The present owners took over in 1984 after Michael’s retirement, developing the practice over the years into the business it is today. All this means they have the experience and knowledge to be able to offer high quality and thorough services to help improve a patient’s life.
With an extensive range of services and products available, the practice knows how important choice is. The team thrive off feedback from their patients and are always looking to improve in any way they can, to ensure their patients leave their practice satisfied after each visit.
With the practice continually developing, investment in the latest technology allowed Wyman Opticians to offer their patients the very best when it comes to eye care. This includes equipment such as an Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT), which scans beyond the surface of the retina, helping to detect abnormalities in the eye up to five years earlier than traditional testing methods – much like an ultrasound, but for the eye!
We here at The Hearing Care Partnership also believe in investment in the latest technology, with our qualified audiologists having access to advanced diagnostic equipment and the world’s most advanced hearing aid technology.
The introduction of hearing care for Wyman’s will enable them to provide both quality eye and ear care, giving them the opportunity to extend their expert services for the community of Pontypool. Teamwork is key when it comes to partnership and will be vital for creating a fully integrated optical and hearing service.
